SimpleSign (both our company and our eSignature platform) was one of the first innovators in the Nordics within the eSignature space. We developed our first MVP in 2011, launched the platform in 2012, and established SimpleSign as its own entity in 2014. Over the last 15 years, we have built deep trust and history within our space, serving thousands of Nordic teams who require secure, compliant, and legally binding agreements.

Why we evolved into two dedicated brands
As our customers grew, their operational requirements matured. We observed that signing was rarely where the contract process slowed down. Instead, the real friction happened before and after the signature: gathering intake details in chat tools, collaborating on drafts over email, chasing internal approvals, and manually tracking obligations.
We built ContractControl to solve these front-to-back bottlenecks. The platform isn't a brand new codebase; we have been co-creating and refining it alongside our core customers for over eight years.
To serve both simple and complex requirements with absolute precision, our company evolved to support two distinct brands, each with a clear individual focus:
- SimpleSign remains our best in class brand for standalone eSignatures, designed for teams that need fast, secure, and straightforward signing.
- ContractControl is our best in class brand for Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), designed for teams that need full operational control over the entire lifecycle, where SimpleSign is fully integrated as a core feature.
